To Further Support F&B Industry A SaaS Platform, GrubTech, Raises $13M
A SaaS platform and all-in-one operating system for restaurants, and cloud kitchens, GrubTech, has raised $13 million in series A led by the Addition.
It is evident that the food and beverages industry is not as advanced in technology as other sectors are. GrubTech was founded in 2019 to compensate for the gap in technology and provide efficient solutions in this sector. As per the latest reports, the startup has announced an investment of $13 million in Series A.
This funding round was led by Addition. However, other investors which include BY Ventures and Hambro Perks Oryx Fund also participated in the round.
The software solutions provided by GrubTech power various key functions which include in-kitchen and back of the house operations. Moreover, it also provides integration with different food aggregators and an omnichannel platform to provide its users with a seamless experience.
The platform has been a great success as it is deployed in 15 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Moreover, the company has also celebrated as it processed 2 million orders in total. With the newly acquired funds, the company is aiming to increase its international footprint and accelerate the development of innovative solutions.
The food and beverages industry is growing at a very fast speed all over the MENA countries. As per the reports, this sector has seen a year to year 236% growth since 2020 and has secured around $30M in November alone. The platform provided by GrabTech enables its users to operate easily and efficiently. It also provides a better experience for its dine-in and online customers and improves sales by operating different brands and outlets from a single location.
Omar Rifai, GrubTech’s Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer also added “Consumers across our various markets are demanding a technology-enabled experience when engaging with their favorite F&B brands, whether it’s on-premise, take out, or online. The GrubTech platform was built from the ground up to empower our clients to better serve their customers across multiple fronts.”
