Retailo Technologies acquires DXBUY to strengthen presence in MENAP

MENAP-based B2B startup acquires eCommerce platform DXBUY for it’s growth and expansion plans.

Retailo startup was founded in July 2020 by Talha Ansari, Wahaj Ahmed, and Mohammad Nowkhaiz.The platform serves as a one-stop shop for retailers and SMEs allowing them to discover and obtain products for their stores to get them delivered in 24 hours. In February 2022, the company brought in $36 million funding to scale retail digitization across the MENAP region. 

Retailo Technologies is a rapidly growing B2B startup in the MENAP region which acquired UAE’s DXBUY. eCommerce platform DXBUY is a B2B platform that is serving as a marketplace for scores of restaurants and cafes. Adnan Zubairi and Rizwan Zubairi founded DXBUY in 2019. Both the founders will be joining the Retailo Technology team. 

What brought Retailo app to life?

The hotels, restaurants, and cafes (HORECA) industry use broken and informal supply chains for their inventory purpose by working with multiple suppliers that follow a strict delivery schedule. As the cafe’s or restaurants’ orders are quite unpredictable and seasonal, a fixed delivery schedule leads to different issues including wastage. 

Occasionally, the restaurant owners make the purchase directly from the wholesale market to meet their needs which leads to the waste of time and resources. This is where a tech-enabled solution i.e. Retailo app come into play. Its single-window operation will  offer a range of quality ingredients to restaurants and cafes to choose from.

 Furthermore,the B2B startup Retailo offers tech-enabled inventory management, a fast delivery cycle to avoid wastage, and many other services and features. Since, deliveries can take place at any day at the restaurant’s owner convenience, so ordering will no longer remain an issue, ensuring customer satisfaction and enhanced business value. 

Owing to the popularity of eCommerce, the market witnessed a surge in a number of eCommerce platforms, all of which aim to offer a seamless and quick purchase experience to customers. As online business trends are contributing a major role in B2B operations, eCommerce site sales is predicted to reach nearly $1.77 trillion in 2022. However, with increased online shopping trends, many businesses are turning to eCommerce web development to offer more convenient and hassle-free shopping experience to their customers.
