Facebook & Instagram Are Offering “Live Shopping Feature” To Facilitate E-Commerce Platforms

Facebook and Instagram are offering a “Live Shopping feature”. Plus the opportunity for E-Commerce platforms to offer discount deals to their customers in this holiday season.

Facebook and Instagram in this holiday season are introducing a variety of features to their platforms to attract businesses in an effort to robust their position in the E-Commerce market. The company has announced to unveil these features on November 1st of this year.

Facebook, although has provided the details about these features in its blogpost.  So, brands in addition to offering exclusive deals and discounts can also offer live shopping experiences to users. Shoppers can also get advice from fellow shoppers and establish connections with brand experts, celebrities, and creators. The social media platforms are also motivating small businesses to register themselves. The company is running a campaign called  #BuyBlack Friday to motivate the customers to buy from these small businesses especially owned by the black community.

Some of the biggest brands including Macy’s, Paintbox Nails, Tanya TaylorBeauty, Vuori Cocokind, and Benefit Cosmetics will also be present. Instagram also offers customers to view the sought-after products in its “shop tab” introduced in the month of August this year.

Facebook earlier this year, has also introduced a suite of E-Commerce features. The reason Facebook is going all E-Commerce is because of the increase in the online buying and selling business which has also given rise to the development of E-Commerce platforms. Other than this, Facebook is also facing heavy competition from its fellow social media apps which have released their own E-Commerce tools and features. For instance, Tik Tok has recently announced its own E-Commerce tools, Snapchat has also unveiled the features related to E-Commerce. And lastly, Pinterest earlier this month has announced the new tools which can help the E-Commerce businesses in promoting themselves.
