Disney+Mobile App Surpasses $1.5 Billion In Consumer Spending Globally
Disney Plus mobile app earned more than $1.5 billion in terms of consumer spending worldwide with an estimated 246.7 million installs.
Disney Plus mobile application saw the highest revenue of $1.5 billion worldwide in April. Thus, generating 204 percent more than the amount it made during its launch month.
According to the data released by Sensor Tower, in the first half (H1) of 2021, the app saw more than 64 million installs. This is approximately 28% more downloads in comparison to the previous year’s 50 million. The Disney App saw this high growth, especially during the pandemic. It also witnessed the surge in its number of first-time installs during November 2020 when it hit the revenue of 22.5 million globally.
Since the pandemic, the use of mobile applications has increased. From booking rides to ordering food people depend upon mobile applications. Subsequently, giving rise to the development of mobile apps. Other than this, the data released tells that the Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) platform saw the most growth in terms of mobile spending in a single month of July this year. The company has also rolled out its services in the South American market like in Brazil and Argentina to earn more profits.
Consider this or not, but consumer spending on mobile apps has increased exponentially. During the first half of 2021, mobile apps hit a record of $64.9 billion.
